Google Analytics Step by Step

One of the challenges in creating a blog is figuring out how many people are reading and where they are coming from on the web. In most cases, it is probably not worth writing your blog or maintaining your website if nobody is finding or reading it.

What keywords are they using to find you? Did they find you from a referring site? How many people visited the sales page last week for your new product?

Thankfully this has now been simplified in the Google Analytics free tool. This works great for your WordPress website, but you do have to configure it and place a small piece of code into your site for it to work. It is not hard, but you do have to know specifically what to do in order for it to work.

Tentblogger has written a post showing you step by step how to install it onto your site. You will want to setup your free Google account first if you don’t already have one. Then go to www.google.com/analytics to get started. The link to the article is below.
